Denton moved to the Valley in 2015 and immediately took a staff attorney position at Alpine Legal Services.  Later, he accepted a position of Deputy District Attorney with the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office where he served Garfield, Pitkin, and Rio Blanco Counties for a little over four years.  There, he prosecuted misdemeanor, and felony offenses, including numerous jury trials.  Prior to moving to the Valley, he was a prosecutor in Texas for two and a half years doing similar work.  Consequently, his main area of expertise is criminal and traffic law and protective orders, but also has experience in banking, estate planning, real estate and land use, oil and gas, environmental, and family law.  Denton tremendously values our local law enforcement community and maintains a solid professional and friendly relationship with all local law enforcement agencies.

Vladimir Ryazanov, Senior Associate

Vlad is a senior associate attorney at DiPaolo Walker where he heads up the firm’s civil litigation practice. As a law student, Vlad worked for the Boulder area law firms of French & Stone, Miller & Harrison, and Haynes & Haynes. Vlad credits his success to the attorneys that he worked for and the foundational experience they provided. During those years he studied a broad range of practice areas, participating in complex litigation and multi-week trials. After graduating from law school, Vlad was a law clerk to Honorable Nancy W. Salomone of the 20th Judicial District in Boulder, Colorado, primarily on the civil and domestic relations dockets. Vlad is very proud to have served Judge Salomone and our greater community in this role. He gained an invaluable understanding of our state court system and how to be an effective advocate. Following his clerkship, Vlad was an associate attorney at Wagstaff Law Firm, a national mass tort litigation firm, before returning to local practice with DiPaolo Walker.

Outside of the office, Vlad enjoys spending time with his family and sharing his love of the outdoors with others. In the wintertime you can find him on the slopes and in the backcountry, telemark skiing with Andrew. In the warmer months Vlad rides mountain bikes and has raced 12 Hours of Mesa Verde, the Growler, and the Firecracker 50.

Vlad double-majored and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado, Boulder, followed by his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.
